Next steps

Hi Everyone,

It's over! And that can only mean good things. Thanks again to everyone for making this possible, and for helping us smash through those stretch goals; I'm continuously blown away by your support. We were able to unlock our 7th stretch goal in the nick of time! With that, physical backers will now be receiving a bundle of printed character sheets with their rewards, heck yea!

I'm still looking for a printer who can do notepads at a low enough price to make it worth everyone's while, but if I can't get the cost lower enough for notepads, I'll hand bundle sheets together for folks to pick up as an add-on for a few dollars. Size wise, these will be A5 or Digest, to keep things transportable.

Let's talk next steps:

1. First things first, I'm going to be wrapping up what little bit of writing and layout work, I expect this to have this done in the next 2 weeks.
2. After another quick round of proof reading, we'll be releasing the first version of the digital PDF to everyone (via DriveThruRPG around) around mid-march. We'll use the next couple of weeks to address any typos and other problems - your feed back during this period will be greatly appreciated.
3. I'll be including the 3 soundtracks alongside the PDFs!
4. Following the initial release we're going to work with our printer to finalize proofs for the book, poster, and character sheets.
5. While all of the above is taking place, I will also start putting together the post-campaign survey. This will be my first time using backerkit, so I want to make sure I take my time. We'll be primarily focused on add-ons, upgrading reward tier, collecting shipping and addresses.
6. Once we have the survey responses, we'll revise our final order size (for add-ons and books), place our order, and start shipping!
7. Lastly, I'll start work on the conversion from book to VTT after our last proof, and be sending folks codes to access this as soon as it's ready!

I'll continue to post routine updates (generally on a monthly basis) to keep everyone up to speed on how things are going on, and to let you know how we're doing with the schedule.

Solo Martial Blues

While I've got your attention, I wanted to take a minute to highlight a solo-play TTRPG which is currently funding on Crowdfundr, Solo Martial Blues, by Radio James Games. James is an IGDN peer who has supported me throughout the Dwellers campaign (with all of my incessant questions) and it would mean the world to me if would check it out. I'm personally backing this because who hasn't thought of being a karate kid at least once in their life :)

Solo Martial Blues is a hard-hitting martial arts tabletop RPG for one player. You're a violent loner, fighting against all odds, always just one fight from death. It's just you, your fists, and the mean streets.

Charachter sheet + 14K goal reveal!

The last 24 hours have been incredible, and we're closer than ever to unlocking printed character sheets for every physical backer! Please keep sharing this campaign with the Mork Borg community, with friends, and with family, together we can get there!

Character sheet reveal

The time has finally come to reveal the (watermarked) character sheet that Franklin and I have been designing; feast your eyes on this beautiful, decay filled, bog themed custom sheet! Naturally, the final product will not contain any watermarks and will be in full resolution. I'm also looking at making a form fillable version, though I think the analog version is where it's at ;)

14K Goal Reveal

The final goal for our campaign, if we can reach it, will see me writing D66 Tharuvian side quests and hooks, in the form of a separate PDF or as an appendix printed on the endpapers of the book! A mix of odd, everyday, or generic hooks that can be thrown into the mix to help get the party started!

Once again, that's it for this update! We have less than 24 hours to go, so lets see if together we can reach this final stretch goal!

VTT Integration unlocked + last 48 hours!

10K Goal Unlocked

Hi Everyone,
We did it, VTT Integration is officially unlocked and I can't tell you how excited I am! 

As mentioned in the stretch goal section of the campaign, I've been eyeing Foundry and Roll20 as possible platforms to integrate with. I personally have a ton of experience using Roll20, but I've also heard incredible things about Foundry VTT. I'm still undecided which of the two I'll be implementing, so if you you have any thoughts on this, let me know in the comments which of the two you prefer!

12K Goal reveal

I skirted around the idea of getting physical character sheets printed in one of my previous updates and have decided to provide all physical backers a bundle of printed character sheets (A5 or digest) to go alongside the poster you'll also be receiving!

Soundtrack sneak peak

I'm continuing to work with our composer to create the soundtracks we unlocked. This latest piece is inspired by Balbazür's Infernal Machine, and although it isn't complete yet, I could resist sharing a sneak peak with you at what's to come! You can find the latest sample here: Infernal Machine

Two more soundtracks!

Hi Everyone,

Fantastic news, we've just unlocked two more eerie, Dwellers of the Bog themed soundtracks! The next track we'll be working on is inspired by Balbazür's Infernal Machine, taking on a grungy, industrial metal theme. Of course, both new tracks will be at least 4 minutes long and loopable - this includes making 2 hour versions available, perfect for those longer sessions.

Another Mörk Borg Project

February has been an amazing month for Mörk Borg supplements and Borg spinoffs. I wanted to take a minute to highlight another incredible project by artist and writer extraordinaire, Tania Herrero: The Pit of Blasphemy! Tania and I have been discussing the possibility of doing a project together in the near future, we're confident it will be a collaboration to burn for ;)

Three days by horse, bordering Lake Onda from Schleswig, an old villa still stands: Castella. Back when the sun still shone in the skies, Castella and its wines were famous, a delicacy available only at the table of the most distinguished palates. But in the days of the Apocalypse, Castella is another pit of misery awaiting the end of days, falling into oblivion and decay.

Or it was, until the vineyards began yielding once more.

Hi Everyone,

A big thank you for your continued support as we unlock our 4th stretch goal! I'll be working with Franklin over the coming days to finalize the design for a twisted, Bog themed, Mörk Borg compatible character sheet for everyone to use. I'm thinking mangroves, vines, and bones! I'll provide another update on this as soon as I have something to share.

I've also started requesting quotes from a few suppliers to see how feasible it would be to get some of these character sheets printed as tearable notepads.

Finally, I'm excited to reveal our $10,000 stretch goal: Virtual Table Top integration with either Roll20 or Foundry (to be decided), free for all backers! And what's more, the Bog continues to churn...
